Cleaning fee calculator
Your cleaning fee goes through the same platform and co-host fees as the rent, so charging exactly what the cleaner costs leaves you short. Enter what one turnover really costs you to see the fee that covers it and what your current fee keeps. Nothing is saved or sent anywhere.
Some hosts price part of the turnover into the nightly rate instead; either way the cost has to be covered somewhere. Guests see the cleaning fee in the total price, so short stays feel it most.
How it works
Turnover cost = cleaner + laundry + supplies. Share kept = (1 − platform %) × (1 − co-host %). Fee that covers it = turnover cost ÷ share kept. Kept from your fee = fee × share kept. Per night = fee ÷ average nights per stay.
Worked example (the values above, fictional): $70 + $15 + $18 = $103.00 per turnover. With a 3% platform fee and a 10% co-host fee you keep 0.97 × 0.90 = 87.3% of the fee, so it has to be $103 ÷ 0.873 = $117.98. On a 3-night stay that adds $117.98 ÷ 3 = $39.33 a night to the guest's price. A $90 fee keeps $90 × 0.873 = $78.57, which is $24.43 short of the turnover cost every time.
